A tightly knit unit comprised of three musicians from different generations, the current iteration of Mathias Landæus’ trio have been inspiring audiences with their highly imaginative take on Scandi-jazz for nearly a decade now.
Based in southern Sweden the trio have become a sought after rhythm section much appreciated for their versatility and seamless interplay. Over the years Landæus Trio has performed with luminaries like Seamus Blake, Tim Hagans, Otis Sandsjö, Per Texas Johansson, Mariam Wallentin, Sofia Jernberg, Fredrik Ljungkvist, Lina Nyberg, Jonas Kullhammar, and many others. However, the trio’s strongest commitment have remained to their own music - and this is where their imagination and unique flavor come to full blossom, as can be heard on their new album Resilience as well as their previous Clean Feed album A Crisis of Perception.

Drummer Cornelia Nilsson (b 1992) had her recent debut album featuring Aaron Parks earn Denmark's biggest jazz award, The Ben Webster Prize. She has performed with the Kenny Barron Trio and Jakob Bro among others.
Bassist Johnny Åman (b 1986) is an internationally sought after bass player who tours regularly with legends like Jerry Bergonzi and George Garzone.
With 25 diverse albums to his name, pianist Mathias Landæus (b 1969) has been a key figure in Swedish jazz since the 1990’s. He has toured with Benny Golson Quartet, recorded with Oliver Lake, and worked with virtually everyone on the Swedish scene.
